All the Alpha 77xx US models run a single Eimac 8877. Only export models or after-market modifications would have two tubes.
This one here runs a single pulsating 8877, the YU209 tube. This tube can take more grid and is even more brutal than the 8877.

RF deck has room to add a second Eimac 3cx1500A7/8877 tube with power supply hefty enough to support both of them.
